Meeting weekly I run a 'Sit & Knit' project where elderly people within my local community who are suffering from issues surrounding isolation and loneliness are invited to come together to have a knit and a natter while we share tea, laughter and worries. There's No commitment, No fees, No experience needed.
We meet every Monday 10-11.30 at The Purple Spoon cafe in the YMCA Highbridge
If you can't make the face to face session we are soon launching a live video knitting subscription. Each week we will gather together from the comfort of our homes and knit together (sign up here) Thursday evenings
7-8pm and everyone is welcome.
For our current project we're making mini hats to raise money for Age UK Somerset as part of THE INNOCENT BIG KNIT fundraiser, so if you can make a rectangle you're already winning
COMING SOON, each month you will receive a pattern plus all the tools you need to use during the Thursday night live group session knit along.
As a much loved subscription member you will gain exclusive access to beginner level video tutorials enabling you to learn at your own pace.
Perfect for absolute beginners.
Best of all £1 from the sale of each box goes directly to Age UK Somerset to ensure they can continue to provide fantastic local service and support.
